Associate Elizabeth Sprotzer represents our union clients in arbitration hearings, grievance proceedings, litigation, and cases before the NLRB. She provides clear, practical legal and strategic guidance in contract interpretation and enforcement issues.

Elizabeth also represents employees in individual and class action lawsuits to recover unpaid minimum and overtime wages, as well as in discrimination and other employment law matters. She is skilled at triaging a variety of issues people face at work and advising employees on how to effectively address them with their employer.

Elizabeth’s service to our clients is deeply informed by her previous work as a union organizer. She has been dedicated to the labor movement since working as an organizer for UNITE HERE in California, Washington, Miami, and New York City. While attending CUNY Law School, she edited the Public Interest Practice Section of the CUNY Law Review and interned at the Solicitor’s Office of the U.S. Department of Labor and the Southern Poverty Law Center. Prior to joining Spivak Lipton in 2018, she worked as a Staff Attorney on the Workplace Justice Team at Make the Road New York.

Elizabeth values being part of a highly experienced legal team with decades of knowledge representing public and private sector unions. She is also a member of the firm’s EDI committee. Elizabeth speaks Spanish fluently and represents Spanish-speaking clients at the firm.
